The NORC Civic Health & Elections Project is a nonpartisan, 50-state study of registered voters. It asks about your experiences, your views, and the issues that matter most to you and your community this election, including the economy, health care, immigration, artificial intelligence, public safety, and more. We want to understand the views of people like you. We want to hear from you, even if you do not plan to vote in the upcoming election.
The study is conducted by NORC at the University of Chicago, an independent research organization that does objective, nonpartisan research. It's supported by Fox News Media, the University of Houston, Knight Foundation, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, KFF, the California Community Foundation, EdChoice, CIRCLE at Tufts University, the Center for Arab Narratives, and the American Enterprise Institute.
The results will provide a detailed picture of the electorate's experiences, attitudes, and policy priorities in every state. Within days of the election, NORC will make the core dataset, interactive dashboards, and mapping tools free to anyone. Researchers, journalists, policymakers, and community groups will be able to use them to understand what voters across the country care about.
We selected you by random chance among all the registered voters in your local area. Your views will represent thousands of registered voters like you.
You or any registered voter in your household can participate. Only one person per household can participate.
Yes. We need to be sure all kinds of registered voters are represented including those who don’t plan to vote, those still deciding, and those who will vote. Hearing from both voters and non-voters is essential to understanding the whole electorate, so your views are just as important.
We are not selling you anything. This is a non-partisan study, not affiliated with any political candidate or party.

Please be assured that any information you provide NORC will be held in the strictest confidence and will be grouped with the information from many others in your area to produce statistical summaries. Nothing that identifies you personally will be published or shared. Taking part is voluntary, and you can skip any question you don't want to answer.
